Last year was the first year of Pattern and Push. We took 40 successful applicants through our Masterclass programme, selected 8 finalists and chose a winner. Look below to see how it worked…
PATTERN Masterclasses.
After submitting their audition clips, last year we took 40 successful applicants through 5 weeks of masterclass sessions where they heard from industry pros like Toddla T (Radio 1), Steve Edwards (Grammy Award winning singer) and Sarah Aitchison (Annie Mac artist manager).
Studio Sessions.
After performing to a selection panel, 8 finalists were chosen to record their songs in the studio. They worked with our in-house producer / engineer to co-write or develop their song as required and produce a radio quality recording.
PUSH Event.
Here the finalists performed their tracks live at Hope Works in Sheffield alongside guests Coco, Deuxes and JD Clack. The recordings were edited into a broadcast quality show and streamed to 1000s of viewers across South Yorkshire.
Then finally, the winner was chosen…

Applications for the second edition of Pattern and Push are now open. Fill out this form including a link to an audio or video clip. A simple recording on your phone or a Youtube link is fine, we’re not looking for perfect, we’re looking for talent!
To be eligible you must be aged 14 - 39 and live in the South Yorkshire region.
